HTC Corporation is soaring high. It is setting new standards for what ideally should constitute a smartphone with the newly launched HTC Titan.
The Smartphone is aptly named!

If nothing else, the HTC Titan is aptly named. What can you say about a smartphone device that flaunts a gigantic 4.7 inches wide S-LCD capacitive touchscreen and also also the physical key board. The Taiwanese mobile phone maker has really pusshed the envelope this time around. It is not just the touchscreen that is there to wow the mobile phone user who is really confronted with such riches whent it comes to smartphone devices that you can safely say that the average customer is really spoilt for choices.

The HTC Titan runs on the much talked about Microsoft Windows Phone Mango version of the operating system. It is actually the Windows Phone 7.5 version of the OS that is referred to affectionately as Mango. The smartphone then has the monstrous 1.5 Ghz processor to boot. Thus, in one word, everything about the Titan is titanic in proportions.

Using a 4.7 inches wide touchscreen toting smartphone, we thought, would be a wee bit cumbersome to use. Well, the pleasant surprise is that HTC has somehow managed to squeeeze this much of hardware into a reasonable 160 gms handset.

The smartphone device has certain other features in the titanic mould too. This includes the primary camera of eight mega pixels that uses the F2.2 lens and the BSI sensor that allows you to shoot and modify your images and video footage later when you are back after your creative pursuits. The snapper also allows for 720p high definition shooting and video recording. Besides this mighty powerful camera, you also have a secondary 1.3 mega pixel secondary shooter at the front of the device that is for video calling.

The HTC Video Watch feature has also been retained for the Titan. This implies that you can watch in high definition all the full length features films and video clips to your heart's content in the vivid 4.7 inches wide screen.

The HTC Titan deals are dwarfish!

Normally in the case of such behemoth of smartphones, the one casualy invariably the prices that shot up to sky high. But thankfully, the Titan is an exception as HTC along with the network service providers have arrived at and introduced several cheap HTC Titan contracts and other mobile phone deals like the SIM free and the pay as you go mobile phone phones.

The SIM free prices of this smartphone starts at £ 489.99 and the device is given for free under several contracts from the network operators like T-Mobile and O2, that are in the range of £ 25 to £ 35 per month.
